Thanks to Cindy Hynes, Calvin Pitcher, and crew who really know how to put on a great race.
Despite somewhat "nippy" temperatures and a wind chill to boot, there was a good turnout of 62 people for Saturday March 4th's annual Slush Run. No slush this year (it was all frozen) so the footing was good and there were some very good times, especially for this time of year. In the men's race Andreas Burger kept the heat on Justin Lalanne but couldn't match the pace. On the women's side, Caden MacLeod is in great shape, took over a minute off last year's time, and won handily over 2nd place Nicole Kennedy. Laura Doucette nipped Yvonne Jessome in the last Km to finish 3rd. Great job everyone! Time to start training for the Coast Guard College 8-miler, the next race on the CBRR schedule.
